Self Cartography : migration process and narrative of the psychological suffering of people in a migration situation

Introduction This research aims to experiment a methodological protocol called «Self Cartography» with people in migration situations. By combining the life story and the geographical map, this device is a response to the clinical challenges imposed by current global migratory movements. With people of different origins, cultures and sometimes languages, it is a question of developing a method capable of capturing sufferings of another type, called «globalised», which define the migratory processes of persons in exile. This chapter, trying to imagine a reversal of the conditions of marginality or disincentives to the participation of subjects with mental suffering, deals with the pioneering case of the Cooperativa Solidarietà in Palermo. Specifically, among the experiences carried out by its members, the Vivaio Ibervillea, in which people with mental suffering have been working and self-actualising together with other citizens and professionals for many years, is considered particularly significant. Cet article explore la teneur de l’évaluation morale dans les modes de traitement du « trouble addictologique » en s’intéressant aux trajectoires des personnes en prise avec des produits psychoactifs inscrites dans une démarche d’arrêt ou de diminution des consommations d’alcool ou des drogues illicites. En suivant ces trajectoires de sortie, j’ai pu questionner leur passage dans deux entités de traitement, les Centres de Soin, d’Accompagnement et de Prévention en Addictologie (CSAPA) et les groupes d’entraide associatifs (Vie Libre, Narcotiques et Alcooliques Anonymes).
